Frequently asked questions

When will Summer of Cloud launch?

Each of our Salesforce, AWS and Azure programmes launch on November 20th.

How long does each programme take?

NextWork's personalised learning platform means that you get to structure your own learning, depending on how much time you are spending each week. Our recommendation is that you spend 20 hours a week on a programme. This way, you can finish the programme by the 1st of March while fitting in a Christmas and New Year's break, and have time for a part-time job or just to 😎 relax.

Which certifications am I working towards?

Our programmes are designed to help you achieve the most fundamental certification for each cloud platform, so you can confidently switch careers and land a job you love. Our Salesforce programme works towards the Salesforce Admin certification, our AWS programme works towards the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, and our Azure programme works towards the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification. With us, you can be sure you're working towards the right certification for you and getting maximum value.

Is there a cost for Summer of Cloud?

We're excited to announce that, through our partnership with Summer of Tech, we're offering all of our programmes for free! The usual cost for someone taking our course is $1,450USD. However, if you're part of the Summer of Tech programme, you'll be able to take one of our programmes free of charge. You'll still need to cover the cost of your certification exam and practice exam, which will range between $100USD to $200USD in total, depending on the course. We will be offering a small number of scholarships where we'll cover this fee as well.

Which programme is right for me?

That's a very good question! The best way would be to attend one of our webinars where we'll be diving into each cloud platform a bit more. Spend a bit of time doing your own research online, and look through job boards to see which cloud certifications are required for the roles and companies that appeal to you.

Can I take more than one programme?

Unfortunately not. Since we have limited spaces for Summer of Cloud, we will only be offering each successful applicant one programme. In your application, you can select the order the programmes based on your preference.

If my Summer of Cloud application is unsuccessful, can I still enroll in a course outside of the Summer of Cloud challenge?

Definitely! If your Summer of Cloud application is unsuccessful, you can opt for a paid spot on any of our courses. As a student outside of Summer of Cloud, the programme fee is $550 USD, instead of the usual $1450 USD for non-students. This course fee includes the cost of the certification exam and the practice exam. We have monthly payment plans so you don't need to pay all of it upfront.
