Nothing! This course is designed for people who know absolutely nothing about Salesforce - we're starting from scratch. Zero Salesforce experience required!
Yes! This course is focused on the first step in Salesforce certifications - the Admin Certification. The Admin Certification is widely considered to be the first stepping stone in a Salesforce career, and is the doorway for many people with no technical background into an awesome tech industry. This course requires zero coding or software experience. Once you have your Admin Certification, there's plenty of exciting career routes you can take! Perhaps you want to be a Salesforce developer and learn how to code? Maybe Marketing is more your thing? UI/UX design?
This course is designed for those working full or part-time jobs already. You can expect to be putting around 10 hours a week towards this course. This leaves time for any work or personal commitments you have and general life activities (we love a good weekend adventure too).
Each week is broken into 5 days of work (approximately 2 hours a day). Each day will include video snippets introducing that day's topics before getting into exercises and activities. This 5 day structure is our recommended approach but as long as all of the work is submitted by Sunday night, the schedule is largely up to you. All our content is pre-recorded, meaning that you can do everything at your own pace. We'll do regular check-ins with you to see how you are getting along and how we can support you.
Absolutely! All sessions are recorded, so you can complete the course in your own time. Our top performing students, and those who land jobs at their dream companies, keep up with the course in live time, but it's completely up to you when and how you complete the course.

The course consists of 4 main parts. Part 1 - Introduction to Salesforce. You'll spend 6 weeks just getting to know Salesforce, and covering all Salesforce concepts for the first time. These 6 weeks will give us the skills needed for Part 2. Part 2 - The Project. You'll spend 4 weeks working on a real-world scenario project. While these will be completed individually, we encourage students to work together to get speed up their learning and bounce ideas off one another. Part 3 - The Exam. Once the project is done, we'll get straight into the exam. It's 6 weeks of exam prep, followed by a 2-3 week exam period. Exciting times! Part 4 - Job Preparation. With your exam in the dust behind you, it's time to look forward to your next steps. Whether it's a brand new job, or moving up in your current organisation, in the final few weeks we'll cover our top tips for starting an incredible new Salesforce career (and maybe even line you up with a job interview or two)!
Salesforce started out as a CRM platform (Customer Relationship Management) but has grown to include pretty much anything a business could possibly want to build and track. Optimising a sales process? Check! Sending out marketing campaigns and emails? Check! Service desk? Check! Building a website that sells products? Check! AI functionality for predicting the next best product for a customer and generating new leads? Check! Salesforce is all about automation, so there's a lot of work around for people who know how to use it. It's consistently ranked the world's #1 CRM system and is always growing. Did you know that Salesforce owns Heroku and Slack?
Globally you'll recognise some pretty big names such as Spotify, Amazon Web Services, Toyota, The New York Post, Walmart Inc, and Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (GEICO). In New Zealand, there's an extremely fast growing uptake on Salesforce. You might be familiar with some home names such as ANZ, KiwiBank, Fonterra, MediaWorks, Spark, Ministry of Health, and Xero as some of New Zealand's largest Salesforce powerhouses. Not to mention consulting partners including PWC, Datacom, Accenture, Deloitte, Davanti, SmartApps, GravityLab, and many, many more.
The total cost of the course is USD $1,200. That includes the cost of the official Admin Certification (valued at USD $200), official Practice Exam (valued at USD $100), study materials, a real-world project and live access to a Salesforce Certified Instructor. You'll also be a part of our exclusive NextWork community, where we run social and networking events with alumni and mentors.
